Romeo and Juliet
Before I read this book, I was very skeptical of William Shakespeare.
I thought he was very overrated. But now, I love the way he weaves words together.

The Fault in Our Stars
This book was just too incredibly good.
I loved the idea of it ending in the middle of a sentence, and I was thoroughly disappointed when it did not.
Now please excuse me while I go cry in a corner.
(Gosh dang it, John Green! *sobs*)

Animal Farm
I did not think I would like this book.
I loved this book.
I read it with my dad, kind of as a pass-time
because it's really short.
But George Orwell does such an incredible representation of the
Soviet Revolution, and is incredibly well written.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
This book by Lewis Carroll is nothing short of marvelous.
Also, it's on ALL the drugs.
Anyway, I love this story, from start to finish.
Unlike most stories, it didn't drag for a single second.
It's simply a must-read.

The Picture of Dorian Gray
This book by Oscar Wilde is FANTASTIC (which is my favorite word at the moment, so that means a lot). From the genius written characters to the intricate storyline, it is my new favorite book.

When We Wake
This book by Karen Healey begins in the year 2027, and ends
100 years later.
It is about a girl who was the first success of a cryogenics experiment.
She died. But now, she's living.

Rooftoppers
I was led to this book by the cello player on the book. I play and love the cello, just like the main female protagonist. Full of literal heights and lows, I love Katherine Rundell's beautiful style of writing.

The Wolf Wilder
I love this story by Katherine Rundell. I was completely misled by the title, even though it fits perfectly. I thought that it would be very much like white fang, but it wasn't. I really enjoyed it, and I would happily recommend it to anyone.

The Devouring
This is the first book in a teen horror trilogy. I enjoyed reading it a lot.
It's a really intriguing story about what happens when your soul is taken.
"When dark creeps in and eats the light,
Bury your fears on sorry night.
For in the Winter's darkest hours,
Comes the feasting of the vours,
No one can see it, the life they stole,
Your body's here, but not your soul..."

The Book Thief
A WWII story with characters you love and want to hold onto forever.
It gives a feeling of reality to something of the past. It makes you want to reach into the pages and hold them all and beg them not to go.
Markus Zusak spins a tale of love and grief that you will never regret reading.

PENDRAGON
This is my ultimate favorite series. An amazing saga by D. J. Machale.
It's a tale of adventure,
a small romance, and a never ending battle.
Continued through 10 books, by a new age of travelers,
THIS IS A MUST READ!!!

The Night Gardener
This is an interesting book by Jonathan Auxier. A young girl and her brother go to a house where you get a wish. But if you are not careful, your wish will destroy you. All in all, it's best to just never enter the house at all. A note to you, avoid the bumps.

If you have not read this series by J. K. Rowling,
something is wrong.
If you like magic, you'll love this.

A Wrinkle In Time
This book by Madeleine L'engle is, just like the last two, an adventure.
My Mom put it on my summer reading list,
And I though it was going to be the cheesiest,
most "touching" story EVER.
I couldn't have been more wrong.

The Hunger Games
This is a truly AWESOME book.
Susan Collins just happens to be my 2nd favorite author,
and that's saying a lot!
But I'm warning you, don't get attached to anyone.
All my favorite characters died.

This book by Brandon Mull is a 4 out of 5 (in Yuki Ratings).
It's a really good story of
betrayal, and adventure, and betrayal...
I got confused during the second book,
but I think that's just me.

I denied reading this book by Brian Jacques for years from my Dad....
And then I read it and loved it.
Anyway.... Yes it's an adventure story,
written from the small point of view of a small mouse named Matthias.
He is helped by his friend bird who is my personal favorite character.

Dragons of Deltora
These short, easy to read books by Emily Rodda,
are longer than they seem.
Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing.
Nine out of ten stars from Yuki Nobody!

Gregor the Overlander
My third grade teacher read me this book by Susan Collins.
I still wonder that if we had gotten to the later books,
would she have been allowed to read them to us?
Well, I loved them all the same.
(I continued them on my own.)

The Secret Life of Bees
This book by Sue Monk Kidd is a very different book from most you will read. It tells of a white girl who has lived a very segregated life, separated from black people because of their color. Throughout the book, she learns to accept them for who they are and not for the color of their skin. In the end, the bees and them live in harmony together.

A Proud Taste For Scarlet and Miniver
This book by E.L. Konigsburg instantly flew to the top of my favorite books list. It is told from the point of view of the characters in the story once they had died and gone to heaven. It gives a good account of Queen Eleanor's, her sons', and her husbands' lives.
(Children: Richard the Lionheart, Henry III, William X,
and Prince John Lackland.
Husbands: King Louis VII of France, King Henry II of England)
